As some of you know, I'm recording YouTube videos that show viewers how to create a low content book interior using Adobe InDesign. Before I posted my first tutorial, I wanted to update my YouTube Channel Art, so I searched on YouTube for help with that.

If you want to use remove.bg for your Amazon zoomable product photos, it will cost you one credit for each one. This is because the preview photos do not meet Amazon's image requirement of being at least 1,000 pixels on its longest side for it to be zoomable.

A few days after I published this blog post, Chris O. sent me information regarding remove.bg's commercial use policy.

It mostly depends on the volume of images you want to process if you need a paid plan or if you can stay with the free version.

That goes for all the examples that you gave: Blog post images, product listing images for Amazon, Print on demand products or front book covers. Also remove.bg doesn't ever own the rights to the pictures, we solely process them for you to either review or download. After approx. 60 minutes all pictures are deleted from our servers. Which means that if you own the rights to your pictures, removing the backgrounds at remove.bg doesn't change that regarding commercial use.

If you sign up, you can process as many low-res pictures as you want (<0,25 megapixels) and one high-resolution image every month (also 50 free API calls for plugin or tool users).

That's great that you can use your remove.bg photos in your Amazon product listings, and on KDP book covers and POD products! Napkin 1 1 4. Of course, you still need to follow any licensing agreements from where you obtained your image.

I do recommend that you use the high-resolution images for your book covers and POD products. Also, as mentioned earlier, you'll need to use a high-resolution image for your zoomable Amazon product photos.
